prepared alto flute head joint and takeaway cup
N.B. the alto flute head joint should be prepared by loosely wrapping the ‘flute end’ with a small single piece of brown tissue paper and poking a small hole in it to allow air to pass through. This paper should be secured around the end of the head joint by means of a rubber band or similar, leaving the mouth hole unobstructed. The takeaway cup should be one of those small polystyrene or paper cups that hot drinks are usually served in to take out.
